So Arsenal Singapore is finally seeing the light. Core members were on hand early in the evening to prepare for the many Singapore Gooners who'd be signing up.
I, in between swigs of beer, also pitched the membership to a few who were hovering around the tables. Most of the regulars signed up quickly, while the younger, more reserved crowd took a little convincing. This guy from London on holiday here decided to part with what constitutes as beer money to join the only recognized Arsenal Supporters club in Singapore.
There was even a box of yu sheng for the hardworking members to toss for prosperity for one & all, and of course to the blossoming of Arsenal Singapore.
From what I hear, the sign-ups were more than we had expected, and more should do so on Saturday. I should be able to make it to the match and shout my heart out with the boys.
